Traditionally the dolls represent the tribal. These days representations of dolls of other cultures have begun Gujrati, Manipuri etc. in accordance to the demands in the market. The look and style of the doll has more or less remained the same.
It is a depiction of the tribal men and women of Jhabua lifestyle, daily activities and rituals of the people. It provides employment and a source of income to the tribal women of Jhabua.

Instead of using just the human element, other tribal elements like huts, local animals and birds can be made. From purely decorative dolls to different products for example functional items like toys.
